Press releases have already been flowing with campaign promises and issues. In order to help sort through all of this, Hank Dickson, retiring Holly Springs Councilman, will be blogging in order to make sure that citizens get accurate information on issues during the campaign season. He believes that citizens need to get straightforward, unbiased information and answers to their questions and issues in order to make an informed vote for Holly Springs Mayor and Council members on Election Day.

"As candidates make accusations or statements in the press, in campaign flyers or on their websites, I will gather information and determine the validity of the statement or issue as well as their proposed solution, and then post my findings online. I also invite voters to submit questions that will help them make their Election Day decision."

Dickson opted not to seek re-election this year after twelve years on the Holly Springs Town Council, however, he is passionate about seeing the town continue the progress it has experienced over the last decade.

"Citizens are pleased with the progress we have made in Holly Springs and want to see it continue. People are optimistic about the future of the town and want us to continue to move forward, not backwards."

Dickson's blog is entitled "Holly Springs Watch" and can be found at: http://hollyspringswatch.blogspot.com

The residents of Holly Springs are smarter then you give them credit Mr. Dickson - the ONLY candidates which have “implied” we should worry about any accusations or made statements in the press, or on their websites, are the same two people we can count on making these elections Ugly in the first place – the others always handle themselves as gentlemen and a lady. In so far as looking toward you for advice – your recent braying of a resident when they disagreed with the Town’s method of vetting for a web design firm or the handing of Magnets Schools shows you can’t put your own personal views aside for the best interest of the residents of Holly Spring – so NO I would NOT come to you for advice on whom I would select to cast MY VOTE.
