Kelly Krebs, a rising senior at Holly Springs High School has been selected as a Student Ambassador to represent the United States as part of the People to People program. Kelly was selected as one of 30 students from North Carolina to travel to the UK, Scotland, Wales and Ireland in a combination learning, leadership & community service program spanning three weeks this summer. As part of this program, the group will meet with members of British Parliament, live with host families in Ireland learning about the local culture, enjoy a stay at St. Andrew’s University and help the European community in various service projects. Kelly was selected based on her academic and leadership strengths including being a member of the National Honor Society, Captain of the HSHS varsity softball team and leader of HSHS Global awareness committee.

Most recently, Kelly has been appointed Student body president of Holly Springs High School for the 2009-2010 year.
