The Holly Springs Golden Hawks Youth Wrestling Club along with Coach Brandon Inge of the Holly Springs High School wrestling team, sponsored The Holly Springs Youth Wrestling Camp held at Holly Springs High School July 20-24. The event was a success with 46 wrestlers registered. The camp ran from 5:30-7:30 pm each evening.

The kids took part in drills involving calisthenics and yoga. They learned about various wrestling techniques and moving and controlling their body both on their feet and on the mat. The week culminated in a takedown dual between the Pure Gold and the Purple Hawkinators. An awards ceremony, team picture and ice cream social capped off the camp on Friday night, July 24.

Appearing at the Friday session was Guest Counselor Joe Cesari who gave a clinic to the youth wrestlers. Joe was a three-time Pennsylvania State Champion, was featured in Sports Illustrated along with his two brothers while in high school, was an ACC-Champion for the North Carolina State Wolfpack and an NCAA qualifier, is a member of the Pennsylvania Wrestling Hall of Fame and is a high school and NCAA registered wrestling official.
