Cruise-In Rain Date Set Aug. 28 The July 17th Downtown Fuquay-Varina Cruise-In was cancelled due to rain but the Fuquay-Varina Revitalization Association is pleased to announce it has been rescheduled to Friday, Aug. 28 from 5 – 9 p.m. Cars will be located in the large public parking lot located at the corner of Main and Vance Streets across from Cooley’s Restaurant and in the private lot behind the restaurant. For a map, go to www.Fuquay-VarinaDowntown.com. Pre-1975 cars are welcome and there is no fee to display a car. While at the event, cruisers can register for a variety of door prizes supplied by stores in downtown Fuquay-Varina. There will be a 50/50 drawing at 8:30 pm. Anyone can purchase one ticket for $1 or 6 tickets for $5.00 at the Information Booth located in the Large Parking Lot Across From Cooley’s. Golden Hawks Club The Holly Springs High School Golden Hawks Club has announced their 2009-2010 Quarterly General Meeting Schedule. Adult volunteers and their canine companions are needed to make short in-room visits with eligible, consenting patients. Dogs will be physically and behaviorally screened by veterinarians and their owners will complete volunteer orientation.
