Large and small, all shapes and sizes, Holly Springs’ furriest residents and their families joined in the fun as the Holly Springs Art Council (HSAC) hosted the First Annual “Dog Days of Art” festival downtown on Saturday. The free event had something for everyone, including food and music, contests, a pet parade and displays by featured artists from the community including award winner Jackie Schaefer and local star Marty Mathews.
The event was a way to help promote the council’s work here in Holly Springs. HSAC Director, Steven Latchaw commented, “We hope that this event will grow each year as people become aware of the work we do here in town.”
The HSAC promotes local artists and holds classes. For more information log onto their website at www.hollyspringsartscouncil.org.
