Since 1999 the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce has annually presented the Citizen of the Year Award to a resident of Holly Springs and the Holly Springs extra-territorial jurisdiction who has demonstrated a long-term commitment of service to enhance the quality of life in our community. According to the guidelines set by the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors nominees for the Citizen of the Year Award should be active in all phases of community life. Basis for nomination should be determined on the individual’s volunteer efforts and time. Nominations will be evaluated based on the following scale: 35 percent - Community Activities; 60 percent - Impact of service on the community; 5 percent - Other pertinent information. The 2009 Citizen of the Year Award will be presented during Holly Fest on Oct. 31.
Please include the name of the person you would like to nominate for the 2009 Citizen of the Year. Also, please provide a brief overview of your nominee’s community activities. Describe how the nominee’s volunteer service has impacted our community and any other pertinent information about the nominee. Be sure to include your name and phone number.
