The U-10 Holly Springs All Star girls soccer team won the SWAC State Championship soccer tournament, held in Rocky Mount Nov. 21-22.

The girls played amazing soccer, posting 3-1, 6-0, 8-0, 5-0 wins and in the championship game winning convincingly, 6-0. When not playing championship soccer the girls took over the pool and the breakfast area at the hotel and the number of cars in the parking lot with “Go Holly Springs” in window car paint left no doubt as to which team had the largest and most enthusiastic cheering section. The girls represented Holly Springs proudly and came home tired, proud and as SWAC State Champions.

Team members included: Angelina Anderson, Brooklyn Smith, Tara Tobul, Brenna Harrison, Kylie Adamson, Holly Simmons, Lana Hastings, Tsion Coulter, Abby Hill, Kaitlin Dillard, Samantha St. Andrews, and Sara Jablonski. Head Coach was Chopper St. Andrews, assisted by Frank Jablonski and Gordon Hill.
