Holly Springs student, Maggie Mial, earns honors

Maggie T. Mial, daughter of Katie Gailes of Holly Springs, NC and Larry Mial of Raleigh, NC, has been named to the Dean’s List for the 2009 fall semester at Elon University. Last year, as a freshman, she also earned Dean’s List status and was a Phillips-Perry Black Excellence Awards recipient, taking top honors for the highest freshman female grade point average.

The Music Theatre major earned the Annual Gregory Hines Scholarship Award at the Broadway Theatre Project (BTP) performing arts camp where she was a student and an administrative assistant. Maggie currently appears in the ‘Cash Spectacular’ commercial for the NC Education Lottery and in the Wake County School System’s Magnate Commercial.
