This year the TERRIFIC program is expanding to include teens and teachers from our community and a plethora of celebration activities for the winners.
These recipients of the TERRIFIC program will be recognized at the Holly Springs’s Town Council meeting by the Mayor and the Town Council at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 4.
“The children of our community are our major focus,” smiled Brian Adornetto, President of the Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs. “Every program our club currently sponsors or volunteers for impacts the youth right here in town. Our TERRIFIC program embraces these core character traits: Thoughtful Enthusiastic Respectful Responsible Inclusive Friendly Inquisitive and Capable”
TERRIFIC recipients will also be acknowledged at Kids’ Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 15 from 2-4 p.m. The Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs’ Kids’ Appreciation Day celebration includes inflatable games, free food and drinks, give- a-ways and fun galore for children of every age….and is free.
Holly Springs’ own Chick-fil-A will host a special commemorative dinner for winners and their parents after Kids’ Appreciation Day.
“The opportunity to commemorate these children in our community is not only a source of pleasure but it embodies Chick-fil-A’s commitment to youth and all families of our community.” said Lori Allred, owner of the Holly Springs’ Chick-fil-A.
Finally, on Saturday, December 11, 2010 the recipients will be the major focus of the Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs’s Christmas Parade float during the annual Town of Holly Springs/Kiwanis Club of Holly Springs Christmas parade.
