WIC Program
The WIC Program provides supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to health care and community resources. Services are available in Raleigh, Fuquay-Varina, Zebulon, Wake Forest, and Brentwood. Those eligible must *be a pregnant or postpartum woman, infant, or child under age 5, *live in NC, and *have a gross annual income under 185% of the Federal poverty guidelines. Holly Springs Food Cupboard
Twenty to 32 percent of those served at the Apex and Fuquay-Varina food pantry are residents of Holly Springs. These organizations continue to experience increased demands. Here in Holly Springs, the difference we can make is as simple as opening the “Cupboard”. By creating a mini-food pantry, we can share our resources, and influence the lives of many. Please join us as we unite to address this growing need in OUR TOWN. Village Church Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School will be held June 20-24 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Children ages 4 - 6th grade are invited to join us for CLUB VBS: Route 254 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Seminars at Windsor Point
We have two informative seminars coming to Windsor Point in June. On Monday, June 21, at 3 p.m., Chris Hudson from The American Association of Wartime Veterans will be with us to present a seminar on the Aid & Attendance Benefit that is available to wartime veterans and their surviving spouses who reside in an Assisted Living level of care or who are thinking about future needs. He will be available to answer questions about the application process, eligibility, and how much your benefits could be. On Thursday, June 24, at 10:30 a.m., we will have a representative from FamPhotory with us to present a session on Archiving Photos and Preserving Your Family History. She will explain how important it is to preserve the stories of our lives but also create a legacy for our loved ones. Please join us for these free events. Doggy Fundraiser
Dog Trotters Doggy Day Camp & Boarding LLC located in Angier, will be holding a fundraiser on June 19 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at their facility located at 50 Comm Park Lane. The event is a free dog bath with donations going to the Harnett County Animal Shelter. Mission trip in home town TLC: The Missions’ Experience provides Piney Grove Baptist Church’s congregational members an opportunity to participate in a multi-day missions’ “trip” in their own home town. On Friday and Saturday, July 9 -10, the church will divide into teams to repair and/or renovate scheduled homes within the Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs’ communities. Each evening they will gather for a meal followed by a time of worship and sharing. On Sunday night, July 11, the church and the nine families who are assisted during the weekend will join for an evening of celebration and fellowship.

Class of 1975
The Fuquay-Varina High School Class of 1975 plans to hold its 35-year reunion on Saturday, Oct. 2, at Bentwinds Golf and Country Club and is looking for classmates. Yoga in the Park
Yoga in the Park is back for its third year at the Mineral Springs Park on South Main Street. The weekly free outdoor yoga classes will begin Sunday, May 2, 8-9 a.m. and run every Sunday through Sunday, Sept. 26. This free class is taught by volunteer yoga teachers from the surrounding area.
You do not need to make a reservation to attend. Simply show up a bit before 8 a.m. when the class starts. Any yoga teacher interested in teaching a class may contact Charlotte Ranz, owner of Red Elephant Yoga, at 577-6623. Red Elephant Yoga sponsors this annual opportunity for the community.
Newcomers & Friends Club
The Holly Springs Newcomers & Friends Club is a non profit, tax exempt, social organization. Senior Bingo
Senior Bingo is now being played on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at the Fuquay Varina Community Center, 820 South Main Street, at 1 p.m. Cards are $1 per card and is good for all of the games on that day.
