Police searched for a white pickup truck after a 12-year-old girl returning home from school said that the unidentified driver offered her a ride. The girl became frightened and ran home. The driver left in the opposite direction.
The girl was in the area of Grantwood Drive after having gotten off the school bus.
Holly Springs officers searched the area for the vehicle in attempt to interview the driver. Officers have not confirmed that any crime was attempted.
Police recommended that parents follow normal precautions regarding their children’s safety.
